Teeth Whitening in Bundall

If you are looking for teeth whitening in Bundall, professional whitening is one of the simpler ways to freshen a smile that has dulled over time. At Bundall Dental and Implants, Dr Mehran Shaibani offers in-chair whitening using the Philips Zoom system, as well as take-home kits for whitening at your own pace, for patients in Bundall and nearby suburbs including Benowa, Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach, Southport and Mermaid Beach. Whichever option you choose, we first assess your teeth to ensure whitening is suitable, then recommend the approach that best matches your timeline, budget and type of staining, while setting clear and realistic expectations.

In-chair teeth whitening with Zoom

Our in-chair option uses the Philips Zoom system and is the quickest way to lift the shade of your teeth, usually in a single appointment of around 90 minutes. We protect your gums, apply the whitening gel, and in some cases use a light to help activate it, checking in with you throughout for comfort. Many people see a noticeable change on the day, up to several shades lighter, though results vary from person to person.

Take-home teeth whitening

If you would rather whiten gradually at home, we make custom-fitted trays and provide professional whitening gel with clear instructions. You wear the trays for a set time each day, and many people notice results within about two weeks. Take-home kits also work well as a top-up after in-chair whitening to help maintain the effect. The trays are made much like our custom guards, moulded to fit your teeth.

Good to know before you whiten

Whitening does not last forever, and the shade gradually fades with everyday eating and drinking, so occasional top-ups help keep it looking its best. Some people notice mild, temporary sensitivity afterwards, which usually settles within a day or two. It is also worth knowing that whitening lightens natural teeth but not fillings, crowns, or veneers, so if you have visible dental work we will talk through how to get an even result. To understand the options in more depth and how professional whitening compares with what you can buy over the counter, our guide to how professional teeth whitening works goes into more detail.
